1. Recommendation from Information Technology (IT) Department on Linksys Wireless Acess for entire school
- Linksys WAP54G 15 x $151.86 = $2,277.90
Adds high speed Wireless G access to network, keeps traffic separated, advanced security with encryption, logging, and wireless intrusion protection (IT Department recommends an access point for every 20 users)
- Linksys HGA7S 7dbi High Gain antenna 15 X $33.49 = $502.35
- District Cost to Install = (approximately $200)
- Total Cost = Approximately $3,000
- Budget – Use remaining $ in discretionary block grant or categorical budgets
- Projected Installation Date – Summer Vacation, as soon as order is in we will be in the “que” with the rest of the schools going wireless

2. One Time Physical Education Block Grant – To receive funds
A. Proposed Schedule to ensure students receive 22 minutes of P.E. every 10
school days
If we are selected to receive the additional P.E. teacher time monies, the 2nd
teacher is required to have a physical education credential
B. A Three-Year Long Range P.E. Plan for distribution of the one time state block
grant is required and must be on file with the P.E. Department
C. We must certify that the P.E. teacher, principal, teachers all stakeholders
participated in the decisions regarding the implementation of the state grant
allocations.
D. The P.E. Department will monitor all orders for equipment and be the final
approver of expenditures.
E. First allotment is approximately $5,587 Second Allotment is approximately $1,862
