Please join the San Diego Unified School District for a conversation on the current status of education funding in California and how it impacts our students and schools.
California currently ranks 46th in the nation in per-pupil funding. What will it take to move the state to a robust investment level to prepare students to continue to compete in the 21st century global economy, and solve the States’ future challenges?
A representative from Sacramento will present the latest information on funding comparisons between California and other states. Other presenters include Superintendent Cindy Marten, Board of Education President Marne Foster and Board of Education Vice President John Lee Evans as the District unveils and investment model develop to highlight the services needed to support student learning.
